How can I become a claims adjuster without a college degree?

I have worked within the auto insurance industry (entry-level underwriter). I currently work in the health field (collections). I have always had a interest in being a claims adjuster in the auto or health insurance area. My problem is I don't have a degree.I have applied numerous times for claims adjuster trainee positions but never get a call back due to not having a degree. I know people who are claims adjuster with no degree, but most of their training has been on the job. Unfortunately I have not found a company that does this. The companies I see that allows you to apply without a degree require experience in claims adjusting. How can I have experience in something I never done before.
