Taking care of a state, if done well, is of some benefit. Senate service is one of the worst qualifications you can have.

Alaska takes care of itself as one of the most federally protected states in the nation, if not the most. Senator dealing with foreign policy is already ahead, without any other duties mentioned.

Well I guess it gives you the experience to be president (who knew) unlike running a whole state with the biggest national guard, taking on corruption from your own party, going toe to toe with Pelosi, and winning. having the riches state in the country, knowing all about energy policies, But being able to push a... If all the things stated of Obama's deeds are true, of which I have no doubt, would it be not best to keep him where he is to work for the people? As president all he will get to do is sign or veto bills. And I'd rather have a strong congress than a half a..ed president.
