My husband is considering a job in Saudi Arabia?

My husband is considering a position with MMG. It is a one year construction Project Management job. I would stay in the USA with our children. He has been told that rather than a compound he would be living in an apartment. This makes me very nervous. Has anyone lived in Saudi Arabia in the past year? How safe is it? He has been told that he will be flown home for two weeks every four months. Does anyone know if these arrangements work well for families? Can we visit him as well?

a better question is: Do you want your husband to work for people who think you are less of a person then he?

They will work well for him, he most likely will be provided with at least one concubine each week... so cheers.

I suppose it depends on what part of saudi arabia he is going to be living in - I don't think Saudi Arabia is unsafe - rather it is surrounded by many countries that are in conflict which leads one to believe that it also might be dangerous. Research the area and the current affairs in Saudi. All the best.
