Who would end the war more responsibly and safely, McCain or Obama?

The candidates are listed alphabetically. Who would do a better job of ending the war safely and responsibly? Please be specific in your answer. Would McCain end the war more responsibly, saving more US and Iraqi lives, or would Obama. This is not a rhetorical trolling question. I'm actually interested in the responses and am not begging the answers. The current war in Iraq.

McCain was for the surge. Obama was against the surge. The surge is working as can be evidenced by the security of Anbar Province being handed over to the Iraqis on Monday... McCain 1 Obama 0 See even the truth from a credible source doesn't sway the frantic Obamabots.

From the previous actions of George Bush, it really is going to be hard for me to trust the GOP with this issue. I think McCain will overstay our welcome. I think Obama may pull out too fast. Is either one really better than the other?

McCain seems to enjoy the aspect of war and has made callous jokes about bombing Iran. I'm sorry, but war is NOT funny on any level. Lives are lost, people suffer and McCain doesn't seem... More

It seems to me Bush cleans his own mess so Iraq is irrelevant at the moment. For future national security, no question. John Sidney McCain, a leader we can trust.
