Should I stay in a magnet that isn't very needed in my career choice?
Well, today was my first day at High School. This summer, I had decided to join the magnet in order to have a better transcript. It is 4 years of media, such as tech art, broadcasting, media, and computer science. It is the "Communications Magnet". However, I've always wanted to go to go into the medical field. Should I stay in the magnet, have it as a hobby of some sort?

Sure, why not, it broadens your horizons and makes you more versatile, having knowledge beyond the scope of your intended field is actually better because of many reasons such as in any case, if the job market in a certain field is low, you can cross and remain relevant.

My son went magnet schools 3yrs in a row.His experience was this: He really didn't learn a lot in the special field of the schools. I have learned that they only teach a smidgeon (that's a tiny bit) of the field, just enough to get you interested in it.I don't think they have a medical magnet school.But any magnet that... More
