How do I get into the Ob/gyn field?

I don't want to be cliche but I've known since I was a child that I wanted to be a doctor. And it was never a matter of finance or practicality or real world application. I've always known the importance of a job that I love and I've always had a peculiar affinity to science. I am extremely passionate about reproductive health, awareness and science, and I would give anything to know that I could be an obstetrician. It is truly my heart's calling and desire and I would climb the highest mountain, wait the longest wait, anything to be there. I recently received my BA in Biology and have finished my premed requirements. so i have a few questions: 1. where can I search/what can I do to get into the field now? what jobs can I get and how can I work with ob/gyn's? I know there are a lot of privacy issues and they've proved difficult in my search. 2. My grades are no where near stellar in today's competition (I did fairly well but have some VERY rough spots from orgo/physics)... how can I buff up my application? 3. and any other suggestions or help... I am greatly appreciative for any help. thanks!
