how do you become a radio tower climber?

does anyone know who I need to contact and what I need to do to become a tower climber

Have you tried searching the internet using "tower technician" yet? This will give you a number of hits. You can also look for American Tower, they have some positions available. I believe ITC Service Group is another. I don't do the job anymore, used to. I only worked at it a few weeks, the heights didn't bother... More

on the surface this sounds like a stupid question -- but i have seen ads stating "wanted radio tower workers - only experiences climbers apply" just how does one get experience climbing their neighbors tv tower!! maybe one needs to sky dive once - take proof that you are not scared of heights and try to talk them... More

You need to obtain a licensed radio tower climber certificate (or LRTC for short). The Radio Tower Climber program at Georgia Tech is the best program in the nation though it is difficult to get accepted.
