Why doesn't the "Dish" work when it's cloudy?

Every time there's a little cloud my TV gets all fuzzy. Is there a better way to get tv service in Baltimore County, MD?

As others have said, fuzzy is not related to the Dish. You may have a install related issue. Cloudy conditions and not severe weather conditions point to a pointing issue... More

The dish sucks. If you have a digital cable service in your area, that may be better for you (Comcast?). Otherwise every time it storms you won't have any service.

The signal is failing to get through the cloud cover. We had that problem quite frequently until we switched to Direct TV. The problem still occurs, but not nearly as frequent. Better equipment.

It blocks the signal from the satellite. If you think of the satellite signal as a straight line, like a laser beam, everytime something gets in the way of that line, it scatters the beam or changes its direction. Dunno about better service there. Cable?

Satellite tv can be kind of touchy, because it is receiving its signal from a satellite in orbit of the planet. the signal needs to go through the atmosphere and into your dish. weather can affect the signal. I have digital antenna tv, and if there is a thunderstorm i can get stations that normally won't come in.

it shouldn't get "fuzzy". satellite either gets artifacts (looks like small squares, freezing temporarily), or it just cuts out completely (searching for satellite screen... More

42 is correct (he beat me to what I was thinking) Cable providers get the same signal, the way sat subscribers get it. Only difference is their sat dishes are much larger.
