What should I discuss with my wedding florist?

My wedding is 7 months away and I just booked two appointments with florists for next week. What should I expect? Do they usually negotiate, and should I try? Anything that I should remember to ask? Obviously, besides budget, money, delivery, types of flowers, etc. Thank you!

They usually direct the conversation since they are the experts and do this for a living but they'll want to know how many ppl are in the wedding party and numbers of parents, grandparents, flower girls, ring bearers, speakers if at a church (VIPs) for boutineers and bouquets, sizes of arrangements, types of flowers... More

One thing I never considered until after my appointments.. have them quote the same thing (same flowers, same quantity).. then you can really compare pricing. Otherwise, That's all I've got!

The questions Kate M listed are all good. Don't forget your fabric swatches and go with an open mind. I wouldn't try to negotiate the prices, but do be honest regarding your budget and don't let them "up-sell" you! If they show you a bouquet you love, but you don't love the price tag, say so!
