With my psychiatric records on the NHS database who can gain access to them?

Can anyone in the NHS? It worries me with the governments records on privacy of personal information and data loss. I also have an ex girlfriend who works for the NHS and enemies with contacts in the NHS Which other organisations are allowed to view them?

Presently, only basic identifying information in is on NHS databases, Practitioners still record patient notes by hand. All NHS personnel are bound by duty practise codes of confidentiality and a breach of such is not only a dismissal issue but is against the law of the land and so those who breach it can not only lose... Soz but realistically anyone who has a pass to access NHS intranet, all they need is your date of birth/CHI number ect.

depending weather they have Access to your records. not just anyone will be allowed to look at your case file. if you find they have and they have leaked Information about you they will loose their jobs as this is a breach of the confidentiality oath

Typically any organisation with access to psychiatric records held by the NHS has access to them, including organisations with access to records held by the NHS and - but not exclusively - records held by the NHS that are accessible to other organisations.

Only selected members of the health service shoud be able to access this info via nhs intranet. Under the data protection act this chould not be abused ie; your ex gf if she is not authorised.
