Do plumbers use any equiment that is downright dangerous?
I am writing a novel with a plumber and I need to cause an accident to happen to another character. What happens is the plumber is working on a repair job of some kind (the job he's doing does not matter, it can be water pipes or an oil tank, etc) but then he gets a phone call and stands up to take the call and turns his back on his equipment. But then ANOTHER character happens along gets injured accidentally by a piece of the equipment left nearby, or by a tool left nearby. Anything dangerous from a plumber's toolbox or from his repair van that you can suggest?

First thing that comes to mind is a torch. They use either MAPP or acetylene to sweat joints on copper pipe, and it's HOT. Another potential weapon is a pipe wrench. The larger ones can weigh upwards of 30 lbs, and can easily cause injury. Hope this helps.
