What to wear to a job interview?
I have a job interview for an accounts payable clerk position today. I am wearing a dress shirt/blouse, but I am not sure if I should wear a skirt or dress pants. What looks more professional and what do employers like to see you wearing? I am female. Thanks so much!

A skirt or pants are both fine. Pick what will make you feel better about yourself. If it's a skirt, wear panty hose and make sure the hem touches your knee when standing.

I would be leaning towards a matching set if you have one, either a pant suit or skirt suit. Power colors are charcoal navy and of course black, but a good trick is to try to wear similar colors to the company uniform if they have one and if possible a similar style to the cut of suit they require as a uniform... If the pants don't have a matching jacket, go with the skirt. If they do, wear whichever is more flattering on your body. DO NOT wear flats either way.

i would wear either a nice dark blue or black dress with a white sweater and a headband. Or a pencil skirt down to your knees and a nice white blouse and a headband.

khaki slacks with any color shirt or black slacks with white, gray or red shirt.

A black pencil skirt is the best way to present yourself. It looks neat and professional yet at the same time can be fashionable with whatever tops/blouses you choose to wear. Make sure you buy a good one with good materials so that it doesn't have crinkles from sitting down (which doesn't look good at all).

The dress shirt and a skirt or dress pants would be suitable. (the skirt shouldn't be to short - arms length) Clothes ironed, hair nicely groomed, not a lot of make up, nice shoes, and show up about 15 minutes early.

you really should dress how you feel comfortable. eg. if ur more of a jeans and t-shirt type person-DONT go in wearing a pencil skirt, blouse and heels, u will look uncomfortable to the interviewer/s and it will show big time. i went wearing a smart top, jeans and dolly shoes.. a week later- i have the job :D
