As a taxpayer, would you rather pay billions in taxes to bail out private corporations?
where you will never see any kind of profit or benefit at all? Or would you rather pay taxes towards your own healthcare, kid's education, city roads, etc...? Both parties make you pay hefty taxes, what's more important is where do you want your tax money to go? Death and taxes are the only thing constant in this world, McCain/Palin aren't going change that, so get used to it. Right now our taxes are paying for the war in Iraq and to bail out Wall Street companies, none of which has benefited middle-class Americans.

Nah. I'd rather subsidize a lot of rich greedy unregulated swindlers, personally.

Instead of "taxes towards your own health care, kid's eduction" I would rather keep my money and just pay it directly.

My taxes should be going toward the citizens , not corporate welfare. Do I get any dividends from AIG? Do the people who had bad loans have them covered now? Why should they have to pay when all debts were excused for the companies?

The Fed paid for it by liquidating bonds. It has nothing to do with taxpayer money. If it involved tax payer money, it would have had to go through congress. But our education system sucks, apparently, so you don't know that.

One only needs to contemplate the global economic implications of an AIG collapse to know that bailing them out is the right thing to do.
