Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science?
So I know I want to go into the engineering path, but I'm having the toughest time deciding which engineering I want to go into. It seems like each one has something that I like about it. Of the three mentioned above, my first interest was Computer Science and Engineering because I thought being a software engineer at a place like Google would be an awesome career. However, I realized that I'd be sitting in front of the computer for basically the rest of my life doing mostly coding. I'm more of a hands-on type of guy. I also like that all three of these engineering fields continue to grow and it's something that I'm really excited about, but I can't major in them all. What would you guys say is the best in terms of job security, salary, and upward trend in salary? I'd also love for someone to prove me wrong on my idea of what a software engineer does because it was my first choice.
