Should I go work for a customer service center or as a corrections officer?

The pay for the customer service job is 11 an hour, the pay for the corrections officer job is 31,000 in Wyoming. I heard the cost of living is kind of high there. What's better?

My husband is a corrections officer. He started out at 13 an hour 4 years ago and just now makes almost $30. He works for a government branch, so they have contractual raises.
