Is fountains at millenia a good apt. to live in, if you are going to be livin in orlando, FL.? Where would be?

We need to be close to uti/mmi university (S. on OBT past sand lake rd) and I want to live in a decent area with places to eat, and shop within walking distance. I also want to live in a nice apt, but it cannot be too costly. Fountains at millenia is super nice (stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, balconies, nice pool, and pool bar), and it is only like 600-700$ a month depending on how many rooms we end up getting. I am from IL, but I went down to Orlando a couple of months ago to check stuff out, and we saw the apartments, but I want input from people who actually live there or know more about it. I know that there are some less than desirable areas around there, but we drove all up and down OBT, Americana blvd, texas ave, and it really did not seem that bad to me (not that great either but w/e), but I dont live too far from chicago, so I guess I do not scare too easily. Anyway I just really need some feed back, on Fountains @ Millenia (if u know anything), the Millenia area in general, and other areas that would still be close to the school and just as nice and just as cheap. Also how long do u think it would take us to find jobs where we could afford a 600-700$ apt a month with two people (there may end up being more than just the two of us though). I feel like that is a great price for how nice the place looked, but I did not get to stay there long enough to know for sure.

Texas and Americana..OMG I hope you have a concealed weapons permit. I work in that area of town and I would never go their in the evening. Actually I hate going their during the day. It is "less desirable" don't fool yourself... More

I am from the Chicago area and moved down to Texas in June due to a new job. It is hard to really judge the area when you are only there for a few days. One of the landlords gave us the site I checked on there, I didn't see your Fountains on Millenia, but there were other apartments... More

The Fountains @ Millenia aren't actually on Millenia Blvd., but on Rio Grande. All the apartments in that area are in your price range except for the ones on Millenia Blvd. and Conroy are more expensive. I used to live in Ridge Club Apartments on Oakridge Rd. and they are decent. I would recommend Andover Place, Ridge... More

They are ok. I would rather live in Discovery Palms, or Camden. Have fun, and welcome to Orlando!

When I saw the advert for Fountains at Millenia - I fell in LOVE! However, when my fiance and I went to check it out - it was GHETTO as *%#@. The apartments are nice, but the staff and the people living there - no no, not so fabulous. The staff in the office was rude to us (even though we were well dressed and could... More
