What is being a pharmacy assistant like?

I currently work in health/social care but looking to specialise in an area. I have an application form for a job as a pharmacy assistant and would be interested in training to be a technician or dispenser. The job Im currently in is really diverse and gives me a lot of freedom. Worried working in a pharmacy would be a bit repetative and boring? Thanks for any replies!

I specialize in doing IVs and make $16 an hour. It's a good job and if you stick with it you can specialize in a certain area and... More

I'm an RN and I administer drugs each day and that becomes boring, so I'd imagine that being a pharmacy assistant would become boring after a few weeks. You sound like the type of person who needs some diversity in their job and medicines will never provide that. Medicines are very dull and routine.
