Is it better to work in a Hospital or volunteer in a Hospital to get into Medical School?

I volunteer in a local hospital but i tried to get a job in a hospital. But unfortunately no hospital is hiring me. They say that there is no positions open at the hospital. So now i work in a day care school as an assistant teacher. I am a sophomore in college doing pre-med. Do you think that only volunteer work and no job in a hospital will help me in my medical application? Would working in the day care school do me any benefit towards my medical application?

You will need to have some work experience in order to work in a hospital. Couldnt you enroll into a nursing school as it could be more beneficial. Take a look at this website Good luck : )

You should see if you can become a research assistant for any professors for your school. It is a pretty common thing for undergraduates to do. See if they have a free EMT program (like they train you and you work certain amount of events for them). I would also listen to the other advice as well.
