I'm A Christian who's struggling with my religion. Any help?
Okay so I've been a christian for forever, went to church since I was five years old. I went to two times every sunday and once on wednesday. I got a job recently and have to work ever sunday. For the last year I have been hearing opinion and statements from non-believers and everything is starting to seem kind of rediculous. When you answer this, dont just give me the normal, theres creation so there has to be a creator.....because there doesnt have to be. Every christian I've asked how they know god is real always just says that you have to have faith. Noone I've asked can explain what I've always believed in. Lately ive been looking at discussions over religion even on this website and others. When someone asks if god is real the ones that say yes all have different opionons and even different gods they tell the person are real. EVERY person strongly believes THAT their god is the real one. Have you ever wondered where it all started. Nobody in the egyptaian times and older days ever believed in Jesus. They all had their own gods that they thought were real. Yet we all know that none of the probably THOUSANDS of beliefs old civilazations had were real. Have you ever wondered if mabey the christian religion was just another one of those that somehow made it out of the pile? I was reading an article on Entrepenuer.com recently about some of the top business to get into, one of the top ones was starting a church. Think about that, most pastors can make their sole income off of the people that believe their religion. I've even talked to a few pastors that claim they had a religious experience with god and he told them the REAL way religion works. Now some of them are the richest people in the town I live in. Heck, kings in the old days used to get people to think they were gods, and they gave them their money. Has anything changed from giving offerings to our pastors today? I could so much deeper with this, but I'd like to get some input from christians that could actually give me some proof so that I might feel like my religion was real again, because with all the evidence I've seen, it doesnt seem it anymore.

Well, it really doesn't matter how long you go to church--does it? Church has not increased your faith much, so what good is that church? If you want proof of God, you can go to my 360 and read my study on it... More

I was an atheist until a few minutes ago. Those non believers are heathens, and are deceived by Satan. Pray to God and repent. Walk the narrow path, brother.. The wide one is filled with the unbelievers on their way to Hell.

All religions serve one purpose: It provides a method for the rich and powerful to control the uneducated, weak-minded masses. If you want proof, sit down and simply read the bible cover to cover. The god of the bible (aside from being fictitious) is a vile, bloodthirsty tyrant. The best thing you can do for... More

I'm not a Christian, but I have to tell you that the doubt you are experiencing is completely normal and very appropriate. You are questioning things that you've always accepted as truth, which is the sign of a free thinker. The thing is, your religion *isn't* real. It's made up, and you're starting to see that. Good... It's too late for you. You're thinking rationally, and once you do that, the Christians can't help you. You'll figure out the answers on your own.

There really nothing new in the bible, there all just stories borrowed from previous cultures. The story of the son of god is completely astrological and has nothing to do with reality. I just re-read the bible so many times I became an atheist. Watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61ReohCr35U

Read the book "I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist" by Norman Geisler and Frank Turek. If you are still not convinced that the God of the Bible is the only true God, read the new book by Hugh Ross, "Why the Universe is the Way it is".

You say you've been a Christian "forever", but I wonder if that is really so. Going to church is not being a Christian. Christianity is following Christ, exchanging your life for His.
