How many pro-lifers have tried to adopt unwanted children?
It kills me when they march and scream at people about abortion, but I know very few people who have ever adopted children. I am personally (for myself) pro-life, but I would never want the government making that kind of decision for me. I didn't feel so strongly about this until I got a job as a public health nurse. I see so many unwanted, neglected, and abused children each week that I wonder if they would have been better off not being born.

You'll find the answer to that very hard to find. Why? Because pro-lifers don't adopt. Period. They'll prevent a woman from getting the medical help they desperately need, but adopt? Naah, that's WAAAY too much trouble!

Ask those kids that in 20 years. See if they think they would have been better off not being born. I bet not. And I have not personally adopted any children yet, I am young and cannot afford it. That doesn't mean that I never will.

People need to be responsible for their own choices....just because I don't believe in abortion does not mean I need to assume the responsibility of an unwanted pregnancy......in the year 2008, pregnancy can be avoided....babies do not need to be murdered.

I'm not currently old enough or in a position to adopt anyone, but I am deffinately considering it. I think every child deserves a home. If I never get to a place where I can adopt I will probably foster.

I don't know if they make such numbers available to the public, but I have heard of quite a few and I know some personally as well that have adopted. Our history is filled with unwanted, neglected, and abused children that have grown into adults that have made a big difference in all of mankind's life.

Not any in my area. They don't even want to be foster parents. No they would rather just tell others how to live or make others lives miserable and let someone else clean up the messes. I am to young to adopt at the moment as I get older I would love to adopt and give birth. Abortion should be a nonexistent resort, why should babies get a worse death then a person who has murdered people what did that baby do to deserve that??? Murder is murder inside the whom or outside of it.

I know some Pro-life folks who foster or adopt, but the fact is that the system is completely overloaded and very few of these pro-lifers actually foster or adopt. It is hypocritical and sad. If they really cared that much, they'd fix and support the system, provide universal health care to all families, and see... More

I do have a pair of pro-life friends who are not active poltically. They adopted a racially mixed little boy who had been tortured by his drug addict mother. Why not apply this philosophy to the homeless, the crippled, and insane. I am sure they would all be better off. If people would not procreate unless they are in a relationship that supports children, then there would not be so many cases as you described. Abortion is now just a form of birth control, and a life is... More
