Questions on becoming a Tac-P/ JTAC?

Well first off my name is Casey and I'm a Senior Airman in the USAF. Currently I am a 1N1X1 (Imagery Analyst). I have been in for almost 3.5 years in this career field and I am already bored with it. I can do the job as it stands right now but I was raised around weapons, and when I jump in on targeting operations and see ground units forward I get the feeling that I could be putting my abilities to much better use. So being Air Force and not wanting to go security forces I was wondering what I would have to do to become a JTAC/ TAC-P. I know that I can request to retrain into the field but my question is what type of training is involved? How long is the training? What's it like being a JTAC? If you could please add any other important details as to becoming a JTAC and life as a JTAC. Thanks in advance. Casey
