How does raising taxes help the American people?

I know Higher taxes takes away jobs. Is there a positive of higher taxes.

It helps to pay for social programs without the govt going into as much debt. More debt is generally considered to be bad for future economic growth.

If the taxes go efficiently towards a common good which government can supply better/more efficiently than the individual, then yes. sure it gives them more money for entitlement programs that they pass and we all have to pay for. In fact the wealthiest get hit the hardest as they already pay 60% of the taxes and now they want more. B____ L S___T

It doesn't. Most arguments are for taxes being beneficial in ideal circumstances. no there isn't a positive to higher taxes. liberals just want higher taxes so they can spend it away on whatever programs they want that wont work. Or...just give it away for free to illegals in this country.

Depends how its used. Is it for frivolous programs that insane and irresponsible Congress people come up with or is it to start paying off the $10+ Trillion that we owe the Chinese. The interest payments are killing us.
