Could I be a dependent in my husband Income Tax Report?
I applied for a Substitute Teacher job, but is not a daily basis income. How much I need to be considered a dependent?

A wife can never be her husband's dependent (period).

If you file a joint return, you each get an exemption. It has nothing to do with how much you make.

A spouse is never a dependent, regardless of relative income. But you get the basic advantages of having a dependent - a higher standard deduction and more exemptions - automatically by filing jointly.

You can file a joint return even if one of you make all the income. A spouse is never a dependent on a tax return.

You are a spouse not a dependent. You file jointly usually whether you worked or not.
