I'm smart but struggling and failing!?

Although I'm a published author, a print journalist and radio broadcaster, I'm stuggling and failing. I was just laid off my radio broadcasting job after 7 years. I am trying to do something entrepreneurial right now by launching a series of show biz-related workshops, and no one is signing up. Granted, it has only been a week since I started marketing the workshops with paper flyers and online ads. I have also taken out a $240 paid ad in a show biz publication that will come out soon. BUT I'M FAILING! AND I'M SMART! I'm losing my condo, but the bank is working with me. Still, I could soon be kicked out and have to live in my car. I'm always, always, always struggling and behind the 8 ball. I am trying to be spiritually positive. I ask the universe for success and love and everything good. I light candles with written positive affirmations placed underneath. I pray to God, the universe, and my guardian angels to help me prosper. Maybe things would be worse if I didn't do all the spiritual work I've been doing, but I just can't seem to succeed at all. If no one signs up for my workshops, I'm cooked! Help! Need sage wisdom and advice from some spiritual people or just smart people. Thanks.

I am not(smart) or (spiritual), but if I'm not interfering with your personal affairs, I will say one thing. 1. Are you overspending? 2. Are you thinking clearly? 3. Are you greedily eyeing money? If ya' are, good luck. Because nothing gets there slower(not faster) than some good old fashioned avarice.

Try to find another job right now even if it isn't in your area of expertise. Go to your labor board and get unemployment if you haven't already ASAP since you said you were laid off. Also, they can help you get either a different job, find one that suits your experience, or even get paid re-training in another area... More

Smart people will tell you that instead of lighting candles with written positive affirmations placed underneath, praying to God, the universe, and your guardian angels to help you prosper, you should be writing resume's.
