What is a good sector to land a job in these days?

I been unemployed for months and been trying to land a job. I have been applying to NGO and Nonprofit jobs mostly, since I am very interested in this sector. I have been unsuccessful at landing even an interview. Most likely I have to tweak my approach since I been emailing my resume. At the same time, this sector could be hitting a slump like the rest of them...... So, my question, what is a good sector to land a job in considering the state of economy? I would consider an entry level job if there is growth potential. Thanks.
