What is a (real) ghost hunter/paranormal investigator ?

What type of degree do I need to make a living hunting for ghosts? Also, how would someone get a government grant to research the paranormal?

I'm afraid the answers are: No such bird. No you don't because you can't really make a living doing that. And the government isn't going to pay you to do that.

You're out of luck on the degree and the grant, but if you want to learn investigating I would contact TAPS in Rhode Island and ask if they're training new people.

There are no available degrees for paranormal investigators. It's a fun hobby, and can be really fascinating, but its no way to make a living. There's not going to be much grant money available for parapsychology or any kind of paranormal research. It's a sketchy science, and government money is better spent... More

There are no accredited degree-granting institutions at this time that assist folks with becoming ghost hunters, however, you would probably need to be doing research at a major university at the PhD level in another field in order to write grant proposals that would be accepted.
