Do you need a BSW in order to become a Social Worker?

I am currently a student at Boston University I am undecided, but have recently become interested in Social Work. BU does not offer undergraduate studies in Social Work. If i were to become very serious about becoming a Social Worker would this cause a problem later in life, if I only have a BA in Psychology for example and then wish to go into social work? Would any degree in the Arts and sciences suffice for pursuing a MSW? Thanks!

A BSW is highly recommended, but I know of social workers with undergraduate degrees in psychology, sociology, and education. If you choose to go to graduate school, I would suggest getting an MSW.
