How to remove 'clear coating' from a vehicle?

1995 Eagle Talon - has clear coating peeling is there a safe way to remove the clear coat without sanding or bothering the paint?

Those damned Chrysler products. They have a tendancy of doing that. I got one for you, don't buy Chrysler products.

Not really. There is no way to sand off or chemically remove the clear coat without messing up the color coat.

you cant remove it without wet sanding it ,but you can use 600 sand paper then switch to 1000 grit and not harm the paint,then go to a 1500 paper,but all your going to have is the paint on it and base paint wont have a shine to it,but it can be re-cleared after doing all this,good luck.
