Do you think if you hire a wedding planner they should come in & change your ideas or your theme ?

On "whose wedding is it anyway"(T.V.show) wedding planner Samantha Goldberg is hired for a couple named Tim & Brooke they have very strange or different ideas for there wedding. Samantha goes in & changes all of it to how she likes it almost snubbing there ideas. I just feel it's very rude of her. I just wanted to get some other thoughts on the matter. Thanks!

I watch all those wedding shows as well. Honestly, I always prefer what the coordinator does over what the couple originally wanted. And most of the time, the couple is happy. no they shouldn't - but that's t.v. in real life they are there to assist you bring your wedding dreams to life and keep you on budget. they can suggest, and in a dire emergency they can help correct errors without you there, but no they do not have the right to change your plans, your dreams.

No & they should be dismissed. Unless the couples' ideas are against the law, put people in danger or are morally wrong.

That is definitely rude. A wedding planner is meant to turn YOUR dream wedding into a reality & hopefully make it easier & more joyful in the process. He or she is meant to bring only their connections & expertise to the planning, but not their own sense of style. The wedding, afterall, should be a reflection of the... More
