How to move into the technical support field?
I have basic tech support knowledge, but I need to know the ends and outs, so to say. Are there books or e-learning programs out there that will prepare me for a basic helpdesk job? Thanks.

there are courses you can take to help you such as MCDST, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Tech. Really useful and would help you out and teach you what you need to know. i really think a couple of courses would help you out and give u a boost in your career path

hmmm, well,, depending on where u want to work @ helpdesk basically involves common sense and a knowledge of systems and also a saviness,, where i work help desk are the kings of being able to use google and grab info quickly,, lol it sounds funny but when u have a blue screen and some hex error to decode what else can... More
