I want to become a elementary school teacher?

How do i become an elementary school teacher? I don't know what classes i am supposed to take. Also is there an elementary school art teacher? I don't know what college course i am supposed to take can anyone help. Also can i take online courses since i am an at home mom.

it really depends on what your state requires. I have my BS in elem ed and BS in art. i work for a company that helps people get masters in education for MA. Contact your local elementary school and ask. You can also ask a school counselor on the specs. Typically you need a four year elementary degree. You need to go to the college you are interested in and speak to a counselor. You have to pick a major....I did Science...whatever your favorite subject is, and they will give you a list of classes that you will have to take.
