What jobs could a teacher get with no further training?

I'm a RE teacher in a secondary school but want to train in a new career. I need a job to tide me over and keep my bills being paid until I can be accepted on a course. (This is a long process and will take 18 months - 2 years. It requires much reading and weekends away so I can't do it while teaching.) Any ideas what I could try?
