Just keep going to places and asking if they need help at the front desk or cleaning up. Perseverance is key.

You should watch LA ink. Shops don't hire extras like that.

The tattoo world is pretty cliquey. You better just know someone in a shop who needs help. Make friends at tattoo shops, and then put the word out there that you're looking, though it's a pretty coveted job, so chancese are there are a lot of people in line.

I dont think it's that nobody wants you but perhaps they dont need the help. Make sure you have some good references and experiences and ask if you can leave your resume with the shop or ask about job oppertunities. When a job opening comes, you'll be ready.

Keep asking! Only the larger shops will actually hire someone purely for the front desk. Usually the artist himself and any apprectices and piercers will do desk work and cleaning, but you may be lucky if you ask in places with a lot of artists working there.

You get that type of job by being married to an artist that starts his own shop or by marrying someone that already owns a shop. There really aren't jobs like that, and the only time I've seen a chick doing that type of thing at a shop, it always because she's the owners wife. I have also talked to all of them, and... More

lmao, if I was a tattoo artist, I'd totally hire you FOR that reason, because I don't actually like the idea of desk work XD... but that's not what you asked. I just wanted to say that. If I ever become one, I'll let you know though :D... but, I'd say, just keep trying to find a place that will take you. Maybe a place... More
