Who thinks people should read the book before watching the Twilight Movie?

Because Summit entertainment did a fabulous job, but they missed a few key points so what do you think?

I do. I also think there are things in it that would only appear to be funny if you read the book

Not everyone is a book reader. Also if you read the book your less likely to enjoy the movie and you will just sit there a nitpick.

People should definitly read the book. One, because it is soo good Second, you probably wouldn't understand the movie But the book is so much better

No matter what book to movie you are watching/reading, I feel that it's always best to read the book first. Why? Because you get a sense of origin when you read the books first. You know what/who everybody/thing does, through the description of words. Movies no matter how much they try, cannot capture that... More

i havnt seen the film yet its not out in england. But the book was AMAZING all four of them. and tbh Robert paterson just isnt an edward. People need to get their own ideas of the characters before they get a set image from the film. Roberts eyes are the wrong colour btw : )

I understand not everyone is a book reader, but the movie did not make me feel like the book did. also, one of my friends had not read the book and she was quite lost. the movie is too fast paced and missed a lot of important key points.

I think they should read the books because like you said they did miss a few key points and skipped fairly quickly from scene to scene. However they did do a fabulous job with the movie and I was pretty happy Edward didn't look like a disco ball when he sparkled.

i think that people should read the book first, because, as you said, summit left out quite a few key points, and because i went with one of my guy friends, and he didnt really understand it that well (he didnt read the books)

I watch the movie already and I'm barely on chapter 2 on the book... but I'll go watch it again when I finish reading it XD

I would say reading the book helps, the movie was good but like all movies bases on a book they tend to leave out the nuances in the movie. Alice in the movie was not as cheerful and fun loving as in the book, they rushed the hotel scene with Alice and Jasper, never bring up the fact that Jasper can influence emotions... More
