How do you install an aftermarket radio in a 2000 Galant?

Hello, I am trying to prepare to install a new radio in a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant. I would appreciate any detailed procedures that will facilitate the process. I am a novice mechanic with basic skills. I believe that the dashboard needs to be partially removed to allow access to the radio. I am uncertain as to which screws need to be removed. Thanks for any help in this matter.

the best way to go is, buy a radio from Crutchfield and get the install kit for free. it comes with all the necessary diagrams and instructions to do the job, and makes a professional looking install. You don't have to remove the dash. Most after market radios come pretty close to fit in the existing opening that your old radio came out of.You might have to make some small changes.
