What is the difference between a home health aide,senior caregiver and personal aide?
I have experience working with elderly women in an assisted living home and working with the handicapped of all ages. I would like to know the similarities between the three I mentioned and training that would be needed.

Home health aides have training and have passed certification exams that allow them to help with some health or medical procedures; they usually earn a bit more than personal aides/caregivers. A home health aid cares for any age in their own home. A senior caregiver limits themselves to the needs of seniors only. A personal aid works with all ages. I think they are all terms that are used interchangeably. Some agencies might require certification.

PCA works with all ages and disabilities, usually in the clients home. But they also work in assisted living facilities. Senior caregivers work with only seniors,they need the CNA license to work in a nursing home. Home health aides work in the clients home , and usually work for an agency. THere is a course and...
