Are there programs for autistic children without insurance?

I am concerned that my child may have asd but I don't have insurance. Are there any programs out there that will help with the costs of screening and possibly treatment? I don't qualify for state insurance programs, and my job doesn't offer health insurance, and I can't afford private insurance, and my son is 4 so he doesn't qualify for First Steps. ANY help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What state are you in?!?! NY has an insurance program for all children if they are not covered. Also, our early intervention program ends at three years and then the school district takes over. Call your local school district and don't stop until you get what you want. Federal law provides FREE APPROPRIATE PUBLIC... More
