Do the retail and employment stats suggest that Americans have faith in Obama's abilities?
Retail sales are down and unemployment is on the rise. Does this imply that Americans didn't really vote for change, since the numbers don't reflect CONFIDENCE in this new administration?

We are facing a global economic crisis of unprecedented proportions and the brand new President-Elect has about as much experience, knowledge of or insight into economic issues as your next door neighbor. We are still feeling the after effects of Bush and his quest to totally ruin America. Obama hasnt had a chance yet to heal and restore faith. Its the fault of the republicans entirely. We can thank Bush for this mess. Totally Bush.

The current rates are reflecting a downturn YEAR. Its not about Obama. Its about the current administration. We've lost about a MILLION jobs so far in 2008.

I don't think this has anything to do with confidence. Retail sales are down because people do not have any money. No jobs, no money, no sales it has nothing to do with Obama.
