Am I being ripped off on my wages as an assistant manager?
I work in a retail store. FYE (For your entertainment) as a 2nd assistant part-time manager. I do get paid hourly. My hourly wage is 8.35 an hour. Something is telling me I could be doing much better. I have been in this position for 9 months now. I hear most assistant manager average about 35 K a year. I am grossing a bit over 12 K... Is something wrong with this picture? Should I be looking for a new job?

Your wage is in line for your position of "2nd assistant part-time manager" 2nd assistant part time manager and assistant manager are not the same thing at least not at any business I've ever dealt with.
