Give me your opinions on GOOD SERVERS! (:?

I just got a new job at Olive Garden as a server!! It's my first serving position, and they are putting us through very intensive, great training. Although since my job is completely about and dedicated to CUSTOMERS! (strange I know but I'm absolutely obsessed with the food industry -- people are so interesting, unique, and typically very very nice), I'd like to ask YOU to tell me what you'd like to see from me as a server - hypothetically of course. I worked at Starbucks as barista for a year, and I was extremely upset to leave the job. But with the economy and my jeep's gas mileage, I couldn't do the commute. Either way, I loved it there. Interacting with coffee customers is the most interesting experience I've ever had (I recommend applying!!). People can be loopy, rushed, stressed, plain silly, sleepy... anything you can imagine. It's fun. So back to my topic. Please let me know what YOU think makes an amazing server!! I'd love to hear. Thank you! (:
