Is it wise to accept employment pending the results of a background check?
Recently a friend of mine quit her job and started a new one pending the background check only to be terminated because something came back on it. Since that time the item has been removed, it was not hers. But she lost her job because of this. The system is not infallible, my friend had a false report.

Yeah, I don't see why you wouldn't. Unless that is you know you have skeletons in the closet that you did not reveal to the interviewer or on your application. In that case it might not be wise. But if you were honest and up front there should be nothing to worry about or any surprises to them in your background check... More

If you have nothing to hide and you have been totally honest throughout your application there is no reason not to.
