Did Mike Singletary secure the head coach job with the win over the Jets?

I love Coach Singletary as the head coach of the Niners. The players want to play for him and he gets maximum effort out of them. If the Yorks are smart, they'd better keep him.

I think the win, and just the fact that the 49'ers are winning games this season cements him as their next head coach. The 49'ers are 3-3 under him this season. Its not a losing record which it was under Mike Nolan. I think that Singletary understands what it takes to win a championship. He brings such an intense... More

I hope so. Also, I think that Shawn Hill has secured his job as the starting QB for the Niners.

I think he did. I agree with you the 49ers have got the right guy for the job. Although it hasn't translated directly with winning, the cutlure of the team has changed since he took over. They don't give up on games, they are playing harder and tougher and I think it is a direct result of the coach... More

If you listen to Mike and Mike on ESPN they say he has it wrapped up after Sunday's game.

There really isn't much else out there..............players would be nice too!!

He has the 49ers playing much better on defense. If the 49ers can find a decent offensive coordinator, I think Singletary has a good chance of being a top candidate for the job.

yes, he is doing a great job with the players that he has to coach with

Yes. Firstly he has won the respect of the players. Secondly he has a great offensive coordinator in Martz so he can concentrate on his speciality that being defence. And last and not least he can be hired cheap and there is nothing more the yorke's like than not spending dollars.

Singletary has got the job unless Pete Carroll or Mike Holmgren can be enticed to take the job. It seems like Mike Martz made a mistake in starting J.T. O'Sullivan over Shawn Hill. This new QB has looked pretty solid.
