What is the lifestyle like of working in a cruise ship?

What is it like to work on a cruise ship.? like as a restaurant supervisor/manager.? do u get you own accomodation ? or share. do u get to see the world ? thanks

It depends on the job you have. Lower level workers are just like slaves, but for them it is better than their home country. Others like waiters and entertainers have a bit more fun, still a very hard job they get to get off in ports from time to time. The accommodations are very basic, room and bathroom plus food... More

a notch up from slavery. one worker on the first cruise I was on said that he make about 800 to 900 a month. he also said that it was better being on the ship than being in the country he was from.

If there is any dispute between a passenger and crew the passenger is always right, no matter that they are saying that you have put an alien in thier food. The worst ones are the Yanks, very demanding, loud and obnoxious. To a man and woman they are like Jerry Springer contestants, ignorant trailer trash with money.

I befriended a group of Fillipinos on a trip once. They stuck together and generally had a decent time late at night after most people were asleep.
