Would this help my chances of getting into a selective medical school?
I'm majoring in biology and chemistry and I can take four-five science courses at a time and get A's in them, I've been taking full loads of classes with as many sciences courses as I can fit in each semester and doing well in them. Will this help me get into a selective medical school?

Getting good grades is a big part of getting into a selective medical school. However, an admissions committee puts little weight on the actual courses that you take. All you need do is take all of the required pre-med courses, after that, an admission committee essentially becomes blind to your course load... More

It won't hurt, but it won't really help in the acceptance department. Med schools don't care what courses you take. You could be a history major and as long as you take the required science courses and preform well, that's all they care about. Take some humanities courses. Most medical applicants major in the sciences... some medical schools even prefer humanities majors over science majors. Take something you'd enjoy, perhaps something you can talk about during interviews. My interviewers were much more interested in hearing about my religion and philosophy... More
