How can I get a job as a stockbroker?
I really want to get a job as a trainee stockbroker. How can I start to apply for one? I'm 30 and I don't have a degree, but willing to do an appropriate course if required. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. By the way I live in the (UK). Thanks ahead of time.

Ive been asked this question many times before. Its good to have a degree but not really required. You wont start as a broker and I dont know the laws for the UK but its all the same in all markets... More

In the US, you have to pass the test and obtain your series 7 license . Good luck. I failed it 6 times. For the UK, try google. A broker will sponser you and usually pay for the first test. When I took it, it was $60.00 US dollars. (many years ago).

You have to get your series 6 and 63 securities licenses (plus a few more after that) which you can only get by being sponsored by a member of a licensed brokerage company, as well as your insurance licenses.
