I am looking at answering an ad to be a Property Claims Adjuster for Foremost (div of Farmers)?

I have 11 years experience as a Field Tax Auditor; included in this is 1.5 years as a Fraud Investigator, where I strictly dealt with potential criminal situations that were VERY sensitive and sometimes dealt with dangerous people. Also, I am used to dealing with angry taxpayers who do NOT want to be forthcoming with information and make life very difficult, even to the point of making false accusations to superiors about the audit work done. Conflict has been a way of life. In addition, I have worked in banking and with a variety of other industries, including c-stores (who are difficult to deal with also), tobacco wholesalers, oil companies, etc. This seems like a stable industry (unless natural disasters wipe things out). The only CON I could see is that I am NOT naturally mechanical per se, but I HAVE had a house BUILT before and am USED TO HAVING TO LEARN NEW THINGS on the FLY all throughout my career. Is NOT being a handyman going to be a problem here, or can I, being a smart, analytical fellow in general, pick up what I need to make it work? Plus, I can learn Spanish (which would help) as my roommates speak it, and I have some good training DVDs. I have been making difficult judgment calls for 16 years now. AND, I am USED to DIFFICULT PEOPLE. I make excellent impressions. AND ANY DIFFICULTY could not be more of he!! than where I am now. I get more $$$, a car, BETTER benefits. Thoughts? Thanks!
