I am new to Computer Science - any advice?

I am switching my major from Medical Lab Sciences to Computer Sciences because I really love the computer field. I took this decision just recently as I figured out that I am not a lab person. I know a lot about computer hardware, software, networking and would love to someday have a job for anything related to computers. I should point out that I never got into Math and I know Math is a great deal in computer science. But I know something about Math and I know I can learn it. I would really appreciate any advice from experienced people who are in Computer Science, such as what challenges I should expect, how good should I be in Math, should I be afraid of Math (to be honest I am a little), job opportunities...and so on...any advice would help. Thank you in advance!
