A question for all of you that swear pot is harmful?

I'm a 32 year old college educated pot smoker. I have talked to doctors, lawyers, cops, old people, young people, christian, muslims, rich and poor pretty much more people then a Gallup Poll. Now I am admittedly biased I have been smoking for more than half of my life. But 90% of the people I have spoken with on this subject agree that criminalization of marijuana is a horrible idea. 14 states say that it is an effective medicine for a variety of ailments, everything from mild anxiety to severe pain. Its is also much cheaper than pharmaceuticals. The Federal Government used to have a program that supplied it in extreme cases, and still does to those that are still alive, though the program has been canceled. Also with the current economic situation in this country how can you argue against regulated legalization when it would. a.Create jobs(farmers, distributors, wholesalers, shipping, sales,) b.Generate millions in taxes a year c.Can help eliminate are dependence on foreign oil d.Save the federal and state governments Billions in money spent on a futile war on drugs and money spent on housing non violent criminals. Almost every cop I have ever spoken to on the subject is annoyed by the fact that they have to take time away from real crime to deal with it. Several have stated that they won't even arrest an adult for small amounts of it, it just is not worth their time. It clogs up our already overworked courts. Its been proven many times throughout history that prohibition leads to violence, any time you make something illegal you create a black market for it. Alcohol, prostitution, gambling are conducted like normal businesses when legalized, and run by gangster when not. I'm not saying that we should hand pot out to children, far from it by taking away the black market and regulating it we actually make it harder to get. I bet most thirteen year old's in this country can get a joint easier than a six-pack. I am not trying to change your mind about pot, in fact I want you to prove me wrong, change my mind about pot. show me hardcore irrefutable evidence that the little amount of harm pot causes is worth the enormous amount of effort put in to its continued criminalization. Sorry it so much to read but I'm pretty stoned right now.

It's ignorant ****s like you that are ruining our society by brainwashing innocent people into taking up pot by saying it's healthy and beneficial when it's not. You are all nothing but pure scum and I (as well as every other non-stoner on this cursed planet) hope you suffer a slow and painful and untimely death.
