Why were WWE treating Val Venis so badly?

In my opinion I think he is a great wrestler, and pretty funny on the microphone, and sucks to admit that he got released a few weeks ago after not competing in such a long period of time. I've wondered for years now why did they turn a main event wrestler to a jobber to the new stars, that was just a waste of talent and could of been used on another superstar. Your thoughts? Also, do you see Val Venis moving to TNA in the near future?

Val Venis was treated badly due to his overall standing with the fans. Val was a Wrestler who was big before, during and shortly after the Attitude Era. He had great feuds with many different wrestlers, including Taka & Funaki when they were part of that Triad-esque stable. His gimmick was very well done and put... More

I loved Val. I was upset when I read they released him. I wanted to see him there for a long time. I also wanted to see him actually competing for something. I would like him to go to TNA. That's where all of my WWF favorites go. sigh... I hope he does go there because I want to see him again. I noticed, as the years... More

I miss Val Venis. He was a great wrestler, with great mic skills. I sure hope he switches to TNA, he would be a good addition to the beautiful people.

yeah it does suck after being loyal so long and sticking with WWE rather than going else where. I hope he goes to TNA and reinvents himself and makes it back to the big time.

They weren't treating him badly. His role since 2004 or so was to put over talent, and thats what he did. Otherwise, he enjoyed the perks every WWE superstar did. Look at it this way, he'll make good money on the indies now.
