What is the best method for finding a job in another city?

I am moving to Albuquerque, NM, in 6 weeks and would definitely like to have a job lined up and ready to begin as soon as I arrive. I've been going through the internet job sites (Monster, Career Builder, etc.) but of course all the postings need to be filled sooner that my 6 week time frame. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am in the customer service/ retail field.

You need to visit with every human being you can and ask who is hiring and where. Cruise up and down every block and watch for Help Wanted signs. Sometimes that is... More
